Our Calling and Purpose The primary calling and purpose of the people of St. John’s Episcopal Church is to serve Christ in the Community. We have been fulfilling this calling since 1855. Our focus on Christian service is derived from the words of our Baptismal Covenant found in the Book of Common Prayer on pages 293 and 305: Celebrant: Will you seek and serve Christ in all persons, loving your neighbor as yourself? People: We will with God’s help. Our Mission and Vision Statements expound upon our calling to serve Christ in the community. |
